Greetings! My name is Hannah and I am a volunteer with Crescent Moon. I first discovered Crescent Moon when a Facebook ad caught my attention and seemed to be offering exactly what I was looking for.  I researched Crescent Moon, hemmed and hawed for a while, decided to trust in what life had put before me, and signed up for a workshop. I am so grateful that I did. The healing that I experienced was nothing short of profound. The staff and volunteers who guided the workshop created a safe and accepting professional atmosphere, and the horses that I had the opportunity to interact with on the first day were fantastic.

While many of the horses were on their own healing journey, they were safe to interact with, and willing to participate of their own accord with myself and the other participants. As a fellow horse owner, I was thrilled to witness this and experience what they had to offer as opposed to yet another “push button” pony and rider experience.

The day of the vision board I got to experience growth and vulnerability that I will carry in my heart for the rest of my life. I had come to Crescent Moon to hopefully get some healing, and I got everything I could have wished for. I became a volunteer because helping to share the opportunity to experience the safety and growth I received is something that I want to be a part of. Crescent Moon is an organization that I hope to be a part of for a very long time, and I am excited by the opportunity to bear witness to the healing of others and the growth of this organization.
