Mimosa, a 17-year-old Andalusian mare, was rescued by Access Adventure from a life of abuse and neglect. Since arriving at Rush Ranch in July 2023, she has been living the life she deserves. One of her greatest joys is meeting visitors, especially children and individuals with disabilities. With her gentle, calm, and curious nature, Mimosa naturally draws people in, sharing love with all who meet her. This exchange of love and healing is mutual, as Mimosa also receives the care and affection she needs. The therapeutic bond between horses and humans is truly remarkable.
Recently Mimosa had a healing experience with Lisa who was afraid of animals her entire life. She wanted to overcome her fear and to touch an animal for the first time, starting with horses. She came to Rush Ranch and within an hour she was petting both Mimosa & Rip!
Mimosa is always ready to offer her unique healing energy. She also enjoys peaceful walks around the ranch with her best horse friend, Rip, basking in the serenity of the land.
We look forward to many more magical moments with Mimosa and Crescent Moon Center's equine-assisted learning participants.
