ART4HEALING
Certified in an established program called "Art4Healing", Crescent Moon Center's director will facilitate a theme-based two-hour art workshop using acrylics, watercolors, pastels and collage. It is a fast-paced painting project created around themes and questions within the themes, some allowing only 2 minutes to respond to. At the end of each exercise, participants are encouraged to share about their painting experience and the emotions involved. This is an educational exercise, and no prior art experience is necessary.
STUDIO ART
Center participants will have access to a well-equipped art studio which allows self-expression through art in an unstructured environment, selecting from a range of materials such as paint, clay, etc. An Artist in Residency will provide a peer mentorship to all particpants.

About the event
Learn new skills for wellness through expressive art and equine-assisted learning workshops, followed by ongoing community engagement and support. Over 6 days, you will experience collaborative art, painting, creative writing, equine-assisted learning, photography, carriage riding, and peers support. No prior experience with horses or art is required.

Crescent Moon Center is hosted at Rush Ranch, on a 2070- acre historic nature preserve thanks to the generosity of our community partners, the Solano Land Trust and Access Adventure.
6-Day Program Contributions:
We welcome sliding scale donations to ensure workshops are affordable and accessible for you. Participants in our program receive scholarships based on financial need. Just let us know how much you feel able to contribute. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
$950.00 - 6-Day Program Contribution
$725.00 - Program Partial Scholarship - 25%
$475.00 - Program Partial Scholarship - 50%
$250.00 - Program Partial Scholarship - 75%
Please consider contributing at the highest rate you can afford. Your contribution supports Crescent Moon's program materials and staff. Any amount above your contribution for participation supports scholarships for fellow participants and is a donation to Crescent Moon Center.
Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and clean up. Please let us know if you want to volunteer in exchange for participation in the program.
